Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a detail-oriented Data Annotator (Spanish) to support projects on their machine learning team.
In this role, you will work with large training datasets, labeling and evaluating text and audio data to support the development of AI models. You’ll apply project-specific guidelines to ensure high-quality outputs while maintaining strong attention to detail and consistency.
This assignment is part-time remote and is a year-based contract, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working with large datasets, strong data entry skills, and fluency in both Spanish and English. You should be comfortable working with written text and audio-to-text data, and able to follow English-language guidelines with precision.
As a Data Annotator, you'll:
As a Data Annotator, you'll:
- Annotate text data such as survey responses, social media posts, and conversational transcripts in Spanish and/or English.
- Label audio data and validate automatic speech recognition (ASR) outputs as needed.
- Apply project-specific annotation guidelines accurately and consistently.
- Review data for spelling, grammar, and overall language accuracy in the target language.
- Identify and flag any personally identifiable information (PII) in datasets.
- Participate in data evaluation, peer review, and other ad hoc tasks based on project needs.
- Complete qualification tasks, when required, to demonstrate understanding of annotation guidelines.
- Provide language-specific insights, including identifying issues and proposing examples when applying English-based guidelines to Spanish data.
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Spanish
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and annotate PII-related data
- Ability to perform basic tasks on a personal computer, including basic spreadsheet functions and data entry in order to provide targeted feedback
- Basic computer and data entry skills, particularly with spreadsheets
- Ability to work 20 hours per week during normal business hours
Commitment: This is a part-time (20 hours/week), 1-year contract position (with the possibility of extension), staffed via HireArt and open to candidates located in and authorized to work in the United States.
