Job description

HireArt is helping a leader in autonomous vehicle technology hire an Autonomous Vehicle and Test Operator. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless, safe, and enjoyable experience for all users while playing a critical role in the testing and validation of cutting-edge autonomous technologies.

This position involves daily operational responsibilities and offers an opportunity for career growth towards specialized roles in vehicle testing and validation.

Schedules available for 7-day coverage between 7AM-7PM:
Part time only, 2-3 shifts a week

As an Autonomous Vehicle and Test Operator, you'll:
  • Engage with passengers, providing excellent customer service, and communicate effectively with the company’s operations and Test and Validation (T&V) teams.
  • Execute detailed test cases by operating autonomous vehicles under various conditions and following precise test instructions. Provide valuable feedback on vehicle performance, identifying areas for improvement in vehicle feel, comfort, and overall user experience.
  • Conduct thorough daily safety checks of vehicles, ensuring they meet all operational standards. Maintain vehicle cleanliness by regularly cleaning interiors and exteriors, ensuring a pristine presentation for customers and staff.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic safety regulations and company driving protocols. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Meticulously document daily activities, including test results, customer interactions, and any anomalies observed. Maintain organized records to assist in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support other team members with related tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 3+ years of driving experience, with a clean driving record
  • At least 25 years of age
  • Comfort and proficiency with driving autonomous vehicles
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to document and report findings clearly and concisely
  • Capable of maintaining composure in high-pressure situations and adapting to new technologies and procedures
  • Physical ability to lift 30 lbs regularly
  • Prior experience in operating autonomous vehicles is highly preferred
  • A technical background working with electronics, mechanical components, or computers is a plus
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to consider candidates who have current or previous experience driving for Lyft.

Commitment: This is an ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite available to candidates who are local to the Atlanta, GA area.
