Our company is growing fast (4x year over year revenue), and we’re looking for an experienced Account Executive to help us reach our next stage of growth.
About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive, full-cycle Account Executive who can turn warm leads into happy customers and uncover new opportunities through smart prospecting.
You’ll work a balanced pipeline made up of:
- Inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns, partnerships, and events.
- Outbound leads and meetings delivered by SDRs.
- Self-sourced opportunities that you generate through strategic outreach and relationship-building (with exec support).
You’ll own the sales process end-to-end from the first conversation through to the signed contract, and hand off to our Customer Success team for onboarding.
This role reports directly to the Founder/CEO and collaborates closely with marketing and customer success to drive predictable revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a mix of inbound and outbound leads, leveraging SDR and marketing support to maintain a healthy, full pipeline.
- Prospect strategically to build your own book of business and fill any pipeline gaps.
- Run discovery calls and product demos that help educators and decision-makers see the value of drone education programs.
- Own deals from first contact through close, ensuring a smooth handoff to Customer Success.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets through consistent activity and follow-up.
- Use HubSpot CRM to manage deals, log activity, and forecast accurately.
- Collaborate with marketing to improve messaging and lead quality.
- Represent Drone Launch Learning at conferences, webinars, and virtual events as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of B2B full-cycle sales experience, ideally in EdTech, curriculum sales, or education publishing, preferably in the K-12 space selling to schools/districts
- Experience working with and selling to C-level executives in education
- Proven ability to prospect, nurture, and close new business.
- Track record of hitting or exceeding quota ($400K–$600K+ annually).
- Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), prospecting (Apollo) and sales engagement tools.
- Self-motivated, organized, and driven by results (you don’t wait for leads, you create them).
- Passionate about education and helping students access new career opportunities.
- Experience working in early-stage or growth-stage startups is highly desirable.
- Willing to travel to conferences and events
Compensation & Benefits
- On Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000+
- Base salary: $75,000
- Commission: Target $75,000+ (uncapped, with accelerators for exceeding quota)
