Job Description Summary:
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager with a strong design sense and comfort with modern software development to expand the capabilities and reach of the digital platform that powers Amplify’s interactive learning experiences. This Senior Product Manager will be joining a team that focuses on how our platform responds to student thinking, and how student work is transformed into actionable data for use by other Amplify applications. An ideal candidate is passionate about building innovative systems that treat student work carefully, equitably and responsibly, and using rich data to inform teacher practice.
Essential Responsibilities:
Be a strategic leader.
Empower your team to take on the highest impact work by deeply learning our assessment UX and data flows, continuously sharing insights and context.
Serve as a collaborative leader of cross-functional teams to plan, develop, design, test, and deliver exceptional features.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and Shape Up processes.
Communicate across the organization.
Track progress toward successful delivery over the short and long term, raising potential issues with partner teams and working proactively to resolve them.
Clearly explain your product’s features and implications of your decisions, seamlessly switching context for technical and non-technical audiences.
Lead the communication around new releases, working with partner product teams, marketing, and customer success.
Synthesize many different stakeholder inputs with clarity, curiosity, and your own informed point of view.
Develop exceptional products.
Write pitches for many new potential projects.
Determine key problems to solve in collaboration with product leadership, and articulate how solutions meet your team’s and Amplify’s long term goals.
Advocate for reliable, accessible, and equitable design, development, and data practices.
Set and review metrics for user experience and performance, identifying patterns and developing hypotheses for improvements.
Distill insights from competitors in the education market and broader digital product space.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in product management with a Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or combination of relevant work experience and education
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop new features from initial problem definition through solutioning and delivery
Ability to leverage research and data to effectively prioritize opportunities and evaluate success post-release
Ability to identify examples of intuitive, delightful experience design that drive the success of a product
Proven experience developing deep expertise in a specific area of a product and connecting to overarching product vision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an educator
Experience with asset-based assessments, products or platforms (including as an educator)
Experience with or interest in negotiating data contracts between systems
Background in technology, design, user research, or curriculum development
What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
