The Category Lead, Supplier Diversity is responsible for designing, implementing and sustaining Supplier Diversity strategies with operational excellence. Responsibilities include driving data accuracy in support of internal and external reporting, active involvement with third party advocacy organizations and incorporating changes to sourcing strategies based on business changes and trends impacting Supplier Diversity.
The successful candidate will develop Supplier Diversity strategies in collaboration with Sourcing colleagues across both direct and indirect. In addition, this position will help define and monitor key performance metrics and ensure compliance with relevant government reporting and other reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute small and diverse global supplier strategies, based on data analysis from various internal sources and systems, business requirements and industry benchmarks.
- Work closely with the sales and bids & proposals team to ensure we can achieve supplier diversity goals that are required by various school districts
- Drive increased engagement amongst Sourcing colleagues with diverse suppliers through meetings, presentations, and the understanding of the global sourcing landscape within each category
- Implement a process to include supplier diversity requirements as part of strategic sourcing events.
- Manage early engagement with sales and bids & proposal teams to ensure effective strategies are in place to meet supplier diversity requirements prior to agreeing to district proposals
- Drive increased awareness of Amplify’s Supplier Diversity program through strategic outreach activities with small and diverse suppliers through conferences, trade shows and events.
- Lead annual planning activities with senior leaders. Provide guidance and recommendations on annual target setting activities related to Supplier Diversity spend.
- Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier diversity reporting activities, including government reporting, customer reporting and third-party reporting requests.
- Identify diverse suppliers and increase their capabilities to meet Amplify and customer needs.
- Translate the business’ vision into procurement requirements, to develop and implement strategic category plans that meet the goals of scalability, quality, and cost optimization
- Issue RFPs, create scoring criteria, think analytically to evaluate, and compare proposals, summarize outcomes, and present recommendations to senior management with a strong focus on increasing spend with diverse supply partners.
- Review and redline third-party contracts (MSA, SOW, LOI, etc.) in order to negotiate best commercial terms, mitigate risks and implement the Delegation of Authority requirements for execution
- Hold regular cross-functional collaborator meetings to align on progress and new opportunities
- Build rapport with external and internal stakeholders to drive engagement levels and develop quality relationships
- Identify and mitigate roadblocks to support resolutions and maintain internal business partner satisfaction
- Be able navigate between big picture thinking and detailed analysis on a regular basis
- Manage, track and report on the performance of strategic third-party alliances, category plans, and spend data for Categories
- Utilize Contract Management System to store and administer third-party contracts and use the resulting data to proactively address contracting issues especially around orphaned, perpetual, and auto-renew contracts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
- Understanding of state and government certifying agencies
- 5+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement indirect categories
- Strong procurement background with emphasis on increasing supplier diversity inclusion
- Strong communicator that can clearly articulate thoughts and ideas
- Authority in advanced functions and features in Google Suite, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Experience in using procurement systems (P2P, S2C, CLM, SRM)
- Experience in developing and running RFPs
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supplier management activities including QBRs, Supplier scorecards and/or ranking preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working with Contract Management Systems (CMS)
- Proven track record of leading complex negotiations and sourcing transactions
What we offer:

The gross salary range for this role is $78,000 - $90,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
